Drawlingz.

Typical brainstorm session. I was trying to come up with a new logo for myself last night, as always I hit the sketchbook first and doodle. Then I was hit with some inspiration from this amazing blog. Look at the various ways they solved the type on the beer labels really helped me solve my final solution for my logo. 

Old random semester doodling from last semester. I was listening to Robyn during my Interactive class and I absolutely hated what was happening with my website at the time, so what better than you draw this while you’re supposed to be designing something during your 5 hour studio class? 

This isn’t exactly a sketchbook doodle, but it’s a character from an animation I was working on about a year ago. She did start as a sketchbook doodle! I promise! But anyway, I love this little character so much, I just think she’s adorable. I need to start drawing more characters in this style.

This is an old one from about a few months ago. Distracting myself from work late at night (as I normally tend to do) I pulled out my xerox pen and went to town on this page in my sketchbook.

You will be seeing a lot of various alphabets in this blog. I can’t help it! I just love to draw type! I believe it comes with the territory of being a designer. (Which reminds me.. I’ll shamelessly direct you to my website…) But anywho… this is an extended typeface I just had the inspiration to doodle, it needs some refinement.. once I rework it to perfection I’ll scan it in!
